New to Generation SERVE? Register Your Family to Get Started!
Teens, ages 13-18, provide much-needed help to Austin area nonprofits, while working alongside their peers, without a parent or guardian. These events give teens experience with volunteer projects in support of many different community needs.
The Generation SERVE Teen Advisory Board started our Teen Service Days to increase the number of volunteer opportunities for teens. These events are led by members of the Youth Leadership Program and Teen Advisory Board, in coordination with our Youth Leadership Program staff.
Teen Service Days are available for teens to sign up to attend on our Activity Calendar on the Teen Service Days tab. We have also hosted teen service days for teens through Boys & Girls Club, Young Latino Leaders, Youth Advisory Council, the Settlement Home for Children, and Maven Youth.
Teens Volunteering with Friends
We love it when teens volunteer with their friends! Please share our Activity Calendar with friends and refer them to the Teen Service Days tab. Each family will need to sign their teen(s) up individually.

Siblings who are not teenagers may not attend. Due to partner organizations' age requirements, staff capacity, and positive, peer-based experience, we ask that only teens attend these events.
what if I am part of the youth leadership program?
We will have limited spots available to co-lead and lead activities during Teen Service Days. Those interested in co-leading or leading these activities should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Opportunities for leading these activities will also be announced through your Youth Leadership calendar.
As a participating teen, will I receive a Little helpers 12 award?
No, the Little Helpers 12 Award is for preschool and elementary age volunteers only.
Can you sign my paperwork for school required or court-mandated service?
All community service hours must be completed through our regularly scheduled program activities. Onsite staff are able to sign completed community service forms. It is up to the participant to determine if the activity meets the requirements given by the school or court. Please print and fill out the form as much as possible prior to asking for the signature from your activity lead or Generation SERVE staff member. If you don't have an hours verification form, you can download and print this one.
