Variety's iCan Shine Bike Camp
In collaboration with the Springs YMCA, Harker Heights Parks & Rec, Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas, Autism Society of Texas, and iCan Shine, iCan Shine Bike Camp teaches kids with Down Syndrome, autism, and other differences how to ride a two-wheeled bike.
Be a “spotter” for a rider each of the 5 days of camp and experience the thrill of giving the gift of riding a bike! REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER IN HARKER HEIGHTS Camp dates: July 17-21, with an orientation on July 16 REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER IN DRIPPING SPRINGS Camp dates: August 7-11, with an orientation on August 6 **There are 5 time slots available between 8:30am-4:50pm each day** iCan Shine Bike Camp would like the same volunteer to sign up for the same time slot each day. Side by Side Kids runs an annual summer camp to provide children in economically disadvantaged areas of Austin a safe, fun place to spend their summer and grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
