Board of Directors and Community Advisory Board

Ready to keep families volunteering and create the next generation of community-minded leaders? Generation SERVE’s Board of Directors, Community Advisory Board, and other Committees members are a dedicated group of community members whose diverse skills and experience add to the success of our programs.

What Does it Mean to Join the Board & Committees?

Board members are mission champions, guiding Generation SERVE’s growth and impact. They help set organizational direction, shape strategic plans, and provide thoughtful oversight during monthly meetings. Beyond the boardroom, members serve on committees, engage in fundraising, and act as visible ambassadors for our mission in the community. They safeguard the organization’s financial health, measure progress toward goals, and open doors to new partnerships and audiences. By contributing their time, connections, and expertise, board members strengthen our youth volunteer initiatives across Central Texas during their three-year service commitment.

Community Advisory Committee: Guiding the Future of Youth Service

Community Advisory Committee members elevate our mission by lending their names, networks, and expertise to strengthen Generation SERVE’s visibility and reach. Unlike the Board of Directors, this is a low-touch leadership role with no governance or operational responsibilities. Members act as ambassadors within their communities, provide occasional strategic input to the Executive Director, and are recognized publicly as valued thought partners. Through their support and advocacy, the Advisory Committee helps expand our impact and connect Generation SERVE to new audiences across Central Texas.

In Their Own Words

Because my family volunteered together through Generation SERVE when my kids were little, my girls have developed empathy and an understanding of the needs in our community and they know that they can make a difference!
- Suzanne Quinn
As a member of Generation SERVE’s Board of Directors, not only was I able to deepen my connection to this outstanding organization, I got to collaborate on and influence its direction and strategy. To see the positive impacts of the decisions my fellow board members and I made come to fruition is something I will always be proud of and grateful for.
